Minnesotans Rolled Out the Red Carpet for Us (not)

We left Tri-Cities at 5:30 AM; after a stop in Charlotte, we arrived in Minneapolis around noon. Both flights were totally uneventful and turbulence free.

At the Charlotte Airport

We have arrived.
We had selected our hotel based on location, reviews, price, and the fact that they provide a free shuttle to and from the airport and the Mall of America. We were happy to find that we made a good decision overall. After lunch, we went to the mall.

We spent most of the afternoon watching children and families enjoying the rides at Nickelodeon Universe, the amusement park in the center of the mall. It was such fun, and the experience left us feeling really happy. It was a great time to be there -- big kids were still in school, so all the children there were small, smiling kids, all happy to be there with their parents. The parents were smiling, too. The log flume was our favorite to watch.

The Lego store displays were amazing.
It didn’t take long, walking around looking at stores, until we were tired and bored and came back to the hotel. We bought a couple of beers and called it a day.  We were going to go back to the mall tomorrow, but I think we've changed our minds.
