Driving the Alaska Highway (was AlCan Highway) has long been on my list of things to do before I die. Well, I'll soon be able to mark it off my bucket list.
On Thursday, Susan and I will leave Bristol and fly to Minneapolis. We plan to spend the rest of Thursday and most of Friday at the Mall of America in Bloomington. I'm not a shopper, but I want to see this "shrine" to American consumerism.
We will go by charter bus from MSP airport to Forest City, IA, where we will spend Friday night in the motor home. We have our orientation (how to dump the tanks) at 9:25 AM on Saturday -- and then we'll be on our way.
